For the academic school year, The UL Lafayette Chapter of the NAACP motto has been “Activism Will NOT Skip Our Generation.” In accordance with that motto, the NAACP has planned events both on and off campus. The events will show the community how much this generation is engaged in the fight for social justice and equality—just like those who have come before them. Recently the UL NAACP chapter held it’s a Black Heritage Ball. Participants were asked to dress in full African attire.
